Sathya Sai Baba's demise was the first notable death in the year 2011. He was 85. On April, 24, 2011 he breathed his last at a hospital funded by his organisation in Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh.

Mumbai, Jul 29: The famous Puttaparthi, the spiritual centre of Sathya Sai Baba seems to be losing its trance after the demise of Baba.

It is assumed that at least 30,000 foreigners cancelled their trips to Puttaparthi, many mainly businessmen from Nepal, Kashmir, Tibet, Gujarat and carrying out their businesses for decades. The businessmen settled there are worried about the decline in the number of visitor's and are unable to pay their monthly rents. Real estate business has also suffered after the.....

Puttaparthi, Jul 23: Various valuables were recovered during the three rounds of inventory at Yajur Mandir, Sathya Sai's personal chamber by officials earlier.

In the rummaging imported bottles of shampoo, shaving kit, soaps and napkins were also recovered by officials in addition to 5000 branded watches and dry fruits. Sathya Sai was also fond of perfumes, said a close aide of Baba.

Though Baba received expensive gifts from his devotees, he never used any of those. According to the officials.....

Sathya Sai Baba trust conducts inventory at Whitefield complex

Bangalore, Jul 20: The Sathya Sai Baba Trust along with Bangalore Urban District Deputy Commissioner today (Jul 20) conducted an inventory of the wealth and assets of the late Godman Sathya Sai Baba at his ashram near Whitefield, in the outskirts of the city.

The team took stock of the wealth at the Whitefield complex of the trust, known as the Sai Baba Brindavan ashram, located about 24 kms from here.

Puttaparthi, Jul 19: More valuables have been found from Sathya Sai Baba's secret chamber - Yajur Mandir in a re-inspection by the government officials. A detailed list of inventory is being prepared by the officials who found 340 kg of silver, 5.8 crore worth gold and at-least 2 crore in cash. "We have made the inventory of gold items, which is not yet complete. So far we have got 34.438 kg gold worth Rs 5.85 crore. They were in different packets in different.....
