former Indian cricket captain died of a lung aliment at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi on Sept 22, 2011. He had donated his left eye before his death.

Pataudi, known as 'Tiger', lost his right eye in an accident, when he was 20. But that didn't take his confidence out of him. Post that accident, Pataudi played 46 Tests between 1961 and 1975 and is regarded as one of India's greatest captains, who over came his visual challenges.

New Delhi, Sept 22: Former India Cricket Captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi has been shifted to ICU after he was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital following a lung infection.

According to the bulletin released by the hospital, 70-year-old Mansur Ali Khan remains to be critically ill. He has been put on high level oxygen support and requires intermittent BIPAP (Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure). His cardiac function remains stable and is conscious.

New Delhi, Nov 24: Cricketer Joginder Sharma, who was member of the victorious Twenty20 world cup squad in 2007, was seriously injured when his car rammed into a BPO vehicle in Dwarka in South West Delhi on Thursday. Sharma, 28, and his friend, a Haryana Cricket Association official, were near a Metro station in Sector 21 when a Tavera ferrying BPO employees, which was ahead of them, suddenly applied brakes at a speed breaker, police said. Cape Town, Nov 20: Suicide case of the dead Cricket commentator, Peter Roebuck is taking new turns everyday with new revelations. Now, investigating team have been trying to confirm the sexual molestation charge against Roebuck after conducting semen and DNA test.

55-year-old Roebuck, who committed suicide, has been accused of sexually molesting a Facebook friend, 26-year-old Itai Gondo. According to sources, Roebuck"s semen spilled on to a bedspread as he attempted to have sex with Gondo.

Azharuddin hoped against the hope for son's survival

Hyderabad, Sept 17: Ex-Cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin and Congress MP, Moradabad hoped that his son, Ayazuddin would survive despite of being told by doctors at Apollo Hospital that his chances of survival looked bleak.

According to a senior doctor at Apollo, Ayazuddin's brain stopped functioning on Sept 15, after which he passed away on Sept 16.
