Chennai, May 16: AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa, who steered her party-led front to a spectacular win inflicting a crushing defeat on DMK in the assembly polls, proved her mettle by roping in smaller parties and caste-based outfits to assume the reins of government for the third time.

Chennai, May 16: After routing the DMK-Congress alliance in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections 2011, AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa will be sworn in as the chief minister of the state on May 16. The swearing-in ceremony will scheduled at 12:15 pm will be held at the Madras University's Centenary Hall, the same place where she took oath for her first stint as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister in 1991.

Jayalalithaa had on May 15 met Governor Surjit Singh Barnala and staked.....

Chennai, May 15: AIADMK General Secretary Jayalalithaa, who led her party to a landslide victory in the assembly elections, will be sworn-in as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister for a third substantive term on Monday, May 16.

63-year old Jayalalithaa will take oath as Chief Minister at 12.15 pm tomorrow at the University of Madras Centenary Building here, Chief Secretary S Malathi announced after the AIADMK chief met Governor S S Barnala and staked her claim to form government.
