Mining barons, Janardhan Reddy along with his brother-in-law Srinivasa Reddy were arrested following CBI raids in their residences and offices. The former Karnataka minister has been arrested and currently lodged in a jail in Andhra Pradesh as he has been accused of being involved in the illegal mining scam in Bellary, Karnataka.

It seems that money power of the Reddys has failedto save them as court has not yet freed them by dismissing their bail pleas. [Reddys' journey from his castle to jail]

Hyderabad, Dec 23: The CBI told a local court that illegal mining allegedly involving Obulapuram Mining Company owned by former Karnataka minister G Janardhana Reddy had resulted in a loss of Rs 5,100 crore to the state exchequer. Bangalore, Dec 10: Janardhan Reddy along with his other family members and close aide - Sriramulu have been slapped with an another land scam allegation. This time, an NGO - The National Committee for Protection of Natural Resources (NCPNR) hurled the attack on the mining barons.The NGO accused Reddys and the former BJP Minister of Karnataka, Sriramulu of acquiring about 251 acres of agricultural land illegally. The disputed land is in and around Bellary, Reddys' place where they allegedly have scattered their illegal.....

Kumaraswamy hopes BJP govt in state will fall on its own

Bangalore, Dec 7: JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy has raised the voice against the BJP government in the state and said that the ruling party in the state will fall anytime following their stunning defeat in the Bellary by poll. He has also asked his party workers to prepare for the upcoming Assembly elections.

Talking to reporters after meeting party leaders, Kumaraswamy said, "The government will fall anytime and we (JD(S)) should be ready to face the election."

Hyderabad, Dec 5: It seems that YS Jaganmohan Reddy may join hands with Reddy brothers on the demand of a separate state of Rayalaseema.
