The list of the star pull outs ahead of the scandal-marred Commonwealth Games continues to grow lengthier by the minute.
Initially, the withdrawals from Delhi Games were limited to athletes' injuries or some sport related reasons such as clash in tournament schedules.
However, as more and more dirt on the CWG 2010 came to light, scores of athletes opted out citing security and health concerns.
The rate of pull outs especially accelerated after scathing remarks by the international delegates on the sorry state of the Games Village just days ahead of the Oct 3-14 mega event.
This added with high terror threat perception following the Sep 19 Jama Masjid firing and the dengue outbreak in the Indian national capital has led to the Delhi Games turning in a rather dull event in terms of international star participation.
