Congress' Narayanaswamy and Trinamool's DD Saugata Roy couldn't wait to become ministers. They did not wait for President Pratibha Patil to administer oath. The duo even made President's work easier by taking the oath themselves.
Wait, wait, wait! This is what Puducherry MP V Narayanasamy had to hear from President Pratibha Patil when he began taking oath himself.
Amid laughter from all those present, Mr Narayanasamy, 61, proceeded to take oath as a Minister of State after the customary prompting by the President. Next person to do the same was Trinamool MP from Dum Dum Saugata Roy. He came to the dais and started reading the oath before the President started prompting. He said "sorry ma'am" and was told by Patil to repeat after her.
In the first round of Swearing-in ceremony, it was Union Minister Kamal Nath who was the man in hurry, beginning the oath himself before the customary prompting from the President.
