Bangalore, Jan 9: "MAYTAS is wrong deal. But still we support you. We request you to acquire more share in Satyam keep the Satyam alive," says one of the messages by Ramalinga Raju's supporter in the website exclusively launched by Ramalinga Raju fans (
ramalingaraju.com). This website is no more alive.
The declaration of Rs 7000 crore fraudulence by Ramalinga Raju in Satyam, for these long years have sent shock waves to the IT industry. He stated in the letter submitted along with the resignation to board members and SEBI that "no board member was aware of this fraudulent balance sheet".
After the declaration of fraudulence, the board members were badly hit by this news. Apart from the board members, the employees of Satyam werehe worst hit. The fear of layoffs had just started haunting Satyam employees (amid recession) with forming of the new board of members, when they announced the news of sacking 10,000 employees. Now, where will such scores of employees head to?
How could a role model like Ramalinga Raju commit such a crime of keeping Satyam employees' career at stake? Websites like ramalingaraju.com should be alive to show a role model turn into a dare devil.
The Public Relations department of Satyam must have opened a website to inform the investors and public about the company's future plans. This would act as a material for further decisions of the investors, employees.
