Happy, Gay and here to stay!
It has to concluded that Church still remains the final bastion of formal discrimination in this world. Otherwise, they would have praised Delhi court for scrapping an age old law that was introduced to India under the British rule and was was drafted in 1860 by Lord Macaulay.
One major argument put forward by Church is that marriage God's concept and gay marriages are against the concept. It is utterly ridiculous argument. People got married for 30, 00 years, even before 'God' was created on earth .
For the people who refused to accept both that the earth was round and that the universive didn't rotate around it, it would be hard to digest the court order.
Another argument by Church is that homo sexuality is against nature, then why some christian priests practice celibacy, I suppose it is also against the law of nature.
Homosexuality and gay marriage tends to be highest in western Europe and the Americas, still church refused to accept it. The church should promote the 'word of god' but what they are really promoting is 'the word of the church'.
India is a democratic country and homosexuals should have the same rights as heterosexuals, no more no less. Then let all sexual behaviour be legal, decent and respectful of others. Church may have their own 'rules', but don't try to impose them on others.
No one should be discriminated against for being different in any way; equally everyone should have the same rights. Live and let live!.
