EPL: Spurs eye £24m move for Moutinho

London, Dec 6: Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas travelled to Paris to watch former side Porto in action which raised ongoing rumours linking Spurs with playmaker Joao Moutinho.

The White Hart Lane club were close to signing the Portugal international in the summer but the deal collapsed after Spurs were unable to meet the players personal terms.

Villas-Boas, who had tried to sign him when at Chelsea, is ready to splash the clash for the playmaker. Spurs are ready to bid nearly £24 million for Moutinho, 26, when the transfer market re-opens in January.

Meanwhile, another Spurs target Hulk, who joined Russian club Zenit St Petersburg for a whopping £39.5 million deal with an annual package of £4 million, has fallen out with club coach Luciano Spalletti after being substituted during the Champions League clash with AC Milan.

The Brazil international was linked with Spurs earlier in the summer when he arrived in London for this years Olympics.

Apart from Spurs, city rivals Chelsea have also been linked with Hulk, 26, who is ready to move on in case the situation with coach and players continues.

Spurs Welsh wizard Gareth Bale is set to move away from London with Spain his likely destination. Bale, 23, is more likely to join Real Madrid than Barcelona as Spurs try to cash-in with £50 million move.
