New Delhi, Nov 22: India Against Corruption (IAC) activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal took up the cause of the National Security Guard (NSG) commandos who fought the terrorists during the dreaded attack on Mumbai in November 2008. Kejriwal is set to bring an NSG commando at a press conference on Thursday afternoon to expose the Centre's apathy towards the heroes who risked their lives for the nation's safety.
Kejriwal spoke for the NSG commandos after the lone surviving member of the gang that carried out the terror attack was executed in Yerwada Jail in Pune on Wednesday.
"Ajmal Kasab hanged yesterday. But wat abt those NSG commandos who fought that nite and saved India? They r leading a pitiable life. Some of them thrown out of job wid no pensions, they r footing their own medical bills, no honors for them. One of them dares to speak up. Meet him at 1 pm in a press conf. He wud narrate the story of others too (sic)," Kejriwal said on Twitter.
The IAC had also questioned the secrecy in executing Kasab early on Wednesday and said it should have taken place in a way so that a strong message was given to the terrorists about India's tough stand on the menace. Kasab was buried in the jail premises following the execution.
