EPL:Norwich vs Manchester United Preview

Norwich, Nov 17: Manchester United hope to strengthen their position at the top of the league but face an in-form Norwich City side who have won their last three encounters at Carrow road.

Chris Hughton's side maintained two consecutive clean sheets in the league against Arsenal and Stoke City but face their most difficult task while hosting Robin van Persie and Co.

The goalless draw at Reading last time out extended Norwich's unbeaten run in all competitions to five. The Canaries are currently five points clear of the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, the Red Devils have conceded 16 goals this season and more often to go behind first.

But manager Sir Alex Ferguson will be keen to tighten up his defence and will aware of Norwich's recent form at home. United, backed by a strong attacking line-up, had to comeback on several occasions this season.

Robin van Persie and wayne Rooney missed national duty i midweek due to injuries. While the Dutch striker returns after suffering a thigh problem, Rooney is still sidelined with an ankle injury.

United could welcome back defender Phil Jones but Nani is ruled out with a hamsting injury while Shinji Kagawa, Nemanja Vidic remain long-term absentees.

Norwich will without defender Russell Martin while Alex Tetty, who missed Norway's clash with Hungary after a back problem, is expected to return.

*Manchester United have won seven out of eight visits to Carrow Road in all competitions.
