EPL: Premier League Results Report

Manchester, Nov 4: Manchester United went on top of the table for the fist time this season after beating Arsenal 2-1 at Old Trafford. Robin van Persie opened the scoring against his former side in less than three minutes. United were the better team as Patrice Evra gave the host a two-goal lead before Arsenal were reduced to 10-man with Jack Wilshere sent-off. Santi Cazorla scored a brilliant goal during injury-time.

Last-ditch goal from Swansea record-signing Pablo Hernandez denied Chelsea three points in a thrilling 1-1 draw at the Liberty Stadium. It took nearly an hour for the visitors to score through Victor Moses. However, Chelsea drop down to second spot with a point less than Manchester United.

Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell's late equaliser denied Everton in a 2-2 draw at Craven Cottage. Marouane Fellaini scored a second-half double to give the visitors a lead after Tim Howard's own goal put the hosts ahead.

Norwich City continued their fine form at home as they beat Stoke City 1-0 at Carrow Road. The Canaries registered their second-successive home win thanks to Bradley Johnson's first-half goal.

Gabriel Agbonlahor handed Aston Villa a much-needed 1-0 away win against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. Villa avoided the drop zone with vital three points and registered their first win on the road since January.

Tottenham Hotspur lost their fourth spot after losing 1-0 against Wigan Athletic at home. Spurs have now lost two in a row following their Capital One Cup exit in midweek.

Manchester City squandered a chance to go on top of the Premier League with rivals Manchester United. Roberto Mancini's men were held 0-0 at Upton Park against West Ham United.

Battling in the relegation zone and still searching for their first win, Queens Park Rangers came back to draw 1-1 at Loftus Road against Reading. Djibril Cisse levelled terms for the hosts after Kaspars Gorkss opener.

Luis Suarez hit back to cancel out Yohan Cabaye's opening goal as Liverpool drew 1-1 with Newcastle United at Anfield. The Magpies were reduced to 10-man when captain Fabricio Coloccini was sent-off for a tackle on Suarez.
