New Delhi, Oct 3: General Secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Rahul Gandhi invited country's top most industrialists and corporates including Ratan Tata, Rajiv Bajaj, Kumarmangalam Birla to accompany him during his visit to Kashmir on Thursday, Oct 4.
The young Gandhi family scion is expected to lay the foundation stone of a tunnel connecting Kashmir with Ladakh. Ahead of Rahul's two-day visit to the valley, many started speculating that this group may create history in Jammu and Kashmir.
The industrialists reportedly would join Rahul at Kashmir University campus in Srinagar where they are expected to interact with the students enlightening the youths about industrialisation and job opportunities.
Rahul during his last visit too interacted with the students who had complained about lack of jobs and investments in the state. It is believed that keeping his promise to the students, Rahul asked top industrial and corporate talent in the country to Jammu and Kashmir.
It would be indeed a historical move by the industrialists and corporates if they could start any joint venture providing jobs to the Kashmiri youths.
The AICC general secretary is also scheduled to meet Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Congress and Abdullah's party NCP are two allies in the valley. Rahul-Omar meet will be held amid reported tension between the two parties.
Abdullah overruled all news regarding tension between Congress and NCP but sources informed that the two allies had gone through some rifts when terrorists killed some elected panchayats and many other resigned following violence.
