Mumbai: Major fire breaks out in crowded market

Mumbai, Sept 17: A major fire broke out near the Manish Market here today. More than 15 fire tenders have been rushed to the spot.

Reports say that the fire spread from a godown located atop a building. Water tankers and ambulances have also proceeded to the area that is crowded most of the time. No casualties have been reported as yet.

In Nov 2011, a fire had ravaged the same market. An electrical short circuit sparked that blaze. Later the affected shops were renovated.
