Egypt, Jun 12: Former President of Egypt, Hosni Mubarak, who is currently serving a life imprisonment in the jail, said that the jail authorities "want to kill" him in the prison as his health is falling down, said his lawyer.
"He says: 'They want to kill me. Save me, Mr Farid, find me a solution," said Farid al-Deeb, his chief lawyer.
Mubarak's health deteriorated after he was sentenced to jail on Jun 2.
"His condition is very critical," said Deeb.
"I appeal through Agence France-Presse to all world leaders and NGOs: save Mubarak," he said.
Mubarak along with his interior minister Habib al-Adly was sentenced to life imprisonment over the killing of protesters in the popular Egyptian uprising in Cairo in 2011 that led to his downfall.
