10 pilgrims injured in stampede in Tirupati

Tirumala (AP), May 26: A stampede has been reported in the hill shrine of Tirupati and 10 people are believed to have been injured in the melee. 

There was a heavy rush of pilgrims as there was a special pooja scheduled for May 26 called the Sahasra Kalasabhishekam. The ceremonial event is being carried out by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) since 2006.
