During a show on CNN-IBN, where Mamata Banerjee was quizzed on her take on the potential Presidential candidate, she revealed that she is not keen on endorsing Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee as the Presidential candidate.
"I love Meira Kumar. She is very soft spoken. Gopal Gandhi has done good work. Kalam was a good President. Pranab may be the son of the world, but if you ask me my choice, I'll go with Meira Kumar, Gopal Gandhi and APJ Abdul Kalam. But if the Congress wants to go with Pranab, it's their choice," said Mamata Banerjee in an interview.
She further said that her party would also not extend their support to Pranab for the President's post even if the UPA chose to do so.
Mamata who is in the headlines for all the wrong reasons has given UPA and its allies another reason to be worried.
