Beed, May 5: With the Congress party shamed by its spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi's explicit and graphic sex CD that came to light recently, anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare has poured fuel to the already raging fire. Hazare on Friday said that Singhvi should be hanged if found guilty after he was seen in a CD that portrayed him in a compromising position.
Talking to reporters in a function in Beed, Hazare strongly stated, "Singhvi should be hanged if found guilty."
Hazare is touring the state as a part of his campaign for a stronger Lokayukta act in Maharashtra.
To avoid further embarrassment, Singhvi had quit as Congress spokesperson, but maintains that the CD that showed him in a bad light was fake and morphed. Taking leverage of the Singhvi episode, Hazare in the function stated that if a strong Lokpal Bill came into existence, corrupt officers would be thrown into jail.
He also added that government officers should be made to disclose their assets on a government website.
