Post IPL, Ganguly to join cheerleaders?

Kolkata, Apr 19: Sourav Ganguly, who is currently busy in playing IPL 5 as the captain of Pune Warriors owned by industrialist Subrata Roy, is likely to join the cheerleaders who will perform the crucial roles to encourage the Indian sportsmen in the upcoming London Olympics 2012.

Indian shooter Joydeep Karmakar on Wednesday, Apr 18 expressed his wish to see the former Indian cricket team skipper as one of the persons cheering them in London. According to Karmakar, even Sourav has expressed his desire to go to London to watch and encourage the Indians playing in the Olympics.

Before leaving for London, Karmakar said, "It has been a very short conversation. I'll be happy if Dada comes to see his "younger brother" battle it out in London... Hope if someone of us wins, he does his shirt-swirl act again."

While speaking about their preparations for the crucial game, Karmakar also claimed, "No one is going to leave any stone unturned for their preparation and, I believe, with the raw talent and inherent ability of marksmanship at their disposal, India with 11 shooters this time around will improve on their Beijing show."

The rifle shooter also said, "We were associated with each other before too. We have plans, but it's not so easy to work out as our timing and requirements are totally different. I am looking forward to meeting him in London (during the World Cup)."
