Hyderabad, Apr 9: Most of the students, who all are appearing for the state board exams in Hyderabad, became victims of the recent riots on Sunday, Apr 8. Students faced difficulties to reach their respective examination halls as board exams have been exempted from the indefinite curfew which is still on for the second day on Monday.
Police informed that students will be allowed to use their hall tickets as curfew passes to come out from their residences and each student would be allowed to be escorted by one elder.
Meanwhile, initial investigation reports claimed that the communal riots in the city was a planned act to trigger violence among the sensitive religious groups.
Police commissioner AK Khan stated, "We have clues and our teams are working on them. So far around 70 suspects who are known anti-social elements have been picked up and are being grilled. Apart from this we have also identified five suspects in specific cases of violence."
Madannapet and Saidabad were the two places which were affected mostly when two groups went violent over the news of alleged desecration of a place of worship.
