Anshuman Mishra's fatal blow to BJP

New Delhi, Mar 24: After the porngate saga in the Gujarat Assembly and the rebellion by former Karnataka CM BS Yeddyurappa, the latest blow for the BJP comes from projected Rajya Sabha candidate Anshuman Mishra who has blurted out some dirty secrets. He has accused senior BJP leader Dr Murli Manohar Joshi of meeting up with 2G scam beneficiaries while he was heading the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) as its chairman probing into the 2G scam.

Mishra has also claimed to be the prime fund raiser for the BJP for over a decade. This stunning expose was made by Mishra in an interview with television channel, CNN-IBN.

Levelling serious charges against the BJP top brass, Mishra was recently snubbed after he was faced with stiff resistance over his nomination in the Rajya Sabha elections following his tainted past. The independent Rajya Sabha candidate from Jharkhand had to eventually withdraw his nomination at the last moment.

Mishra who lobbied for a Rajya Sabha seat with the backing of certain leaders has been accused of buying support. The damning expose, is sure to cause a serious setback to the BJP. In his interview with the TV channel, Mishra stated that Joshi had called him seeking funds for elections. He claimed that Joshi conducted secret meetings with 2G accused companies. Mishra also added that he had unfettered access to the BJP's top brass and rank and file.

Putting up a brave stance while levelling such damning allegations, Mishra said that he was ready to face any probe. On the allegations, Joshi replied, "I will co-operate with the agencies and I contradict the allegations. I deny it. I never asked for funds from anybody like him." He also commented that everybody knows that the 2G probe was impartial and fair.

Dr Joshi also stated that the allegations made against him are fabricated and whatever Mishra has said against him is absolutely wrong.
