Denied entry to pub;hotel staff attacked

New Delhi, Feb 25: In yet another instance of Delhi turning to violent means, a staff of a five star hotel was brutally roughed up by goons in the national capital. The assaulters opened fire and shot in the air and later broke the window of the victim's car and then pulled him out of the car and thrashed him. The violent images were caught in the hotel's CCTV camera. The victim has been identified as Bhupinder Nagar, who works as a security officer at the Hilton Hotel.

Eight people have been arrested in the assault case by the Delhi police. The CCTV images show a group of close to 12 men attacking Nagar in the hotel's vicinity. He was attacked on the night of Feb 13 when he barred the men from entering the hotel's pub that irked them. The CCTV footage was extensively played across media channels last night.

According to police, Nagar was chased and assaulted by the group near Surya hotel at New Friends colony.

The surprising part is that the CCTV images show a police van passing by when the goons were attacking the 27-year-old staff.
