New Delhi, Feb 21: It seems that Congress is not ready to allow anyone to hurl any attack on Rahul Gandhi. The party soon will move the High Court over the controversy of FIR against Rahul Gandhi, chided Digivijay Singh while addressing the media on Tuesday, Feb 21.
Mr Singh has been quoted as saying, "We will go to High Court against the FIR. State government (Uttar Pradesh) is worried about successful road shows of Rahul. We got no reply but the District Magistrate informed SPG that permission could not be given."
"We were told by the administration to change routes because of Shivratri. We offered new routes but since Congress was not informed and communication was between SPG and the administration, we went ahead. Rahul understands the laws and he follows the rules and he never violates. Yet, administration has spoken against him and this shows that state government is worried about his road shows," added Mr Singh.
Here it can be recalled that an FIR was filed against Rahul as he allegedly breached the approved road map while campaigning in Kanpur for Uttar Pradesh assembly election 2012.
The administration authorities approved for only 20 kms. But Congress had demanded permission for 35 kms.
