K'taka porn row: BJP MLAs justify self

Bangalore, Feb 16: Three tainted BJP MLAs - CC Patil, Lakshmana Savadi and Krishna Palemar finally on Thursday, Feb 16 submitted the papers with their reply to the showcause notice sent by Karnataka assembly speaker - KG Bopaiah.

The three MLAs, who were forced to resign from their respected positions when they were caught watching porn movie in a mobile phone during the assembly session, believed to have justified their "shameful act".

Mr Bopaiah informed that a probe committee will be conducted to reveal the real story behind the entire controversy and the name of the committee will be given by Thursday evening. Meanwhile, Congress announced that they will boycott the committee and reiterated their demand of expelling the trio from all activities that take place in the assembly.

Here it can be recalled that a local TV channel showed how Mr Patil and Mr Savadi were caught watching the obscene video in Mr Palemar's mobile phone. Soon after the video footage aired by the TV channel, the trio came up with several contradictory statements.

While some said that they were watching how an Iranian woman was gang-raped, other claimed that they were discussing about "rave parties" and were trying to get the apt meaning of the word - "rave".

However, BJP earlier had declared that they would conduct a special session where moral lessons will be given to all BJP MPs, ministers and other legislators. Now, time will show how the BJP people will react after the special session.
