New Delhi, Feb 7: It seems that Team Anna and its crucial member Shanti Bhushan have been geared up with the Supreme Court verdict on 2G spectrum scam, thus demanding resignations of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Home Minister P Chidambaram.

The former Law Minister, Shanti Bhushan on Monday, Feb 6 claimed that the court's decision on cancellation of 2G spectrum licenses of 122 telecom companies clearly showed that both PM and the Home Minister were aware of former Telecom Minister A Raja's goof-ups while allocating 2G licenses.

"It is clear that the Prime Minister came to know of the facts and could have prevented the grant of licences at 2001 prices. He could have dropped Raja from the government," said Mr Bhushan.

"His defence that the constraints of coalition politics did not permit him to intervene is no defence at all. This only implies that if he had intervened, his government might have fallen," continued Mr Bhushan while slamming the PM.

The apex court had recently cancelled 2G spectrum licenses of 122 telecom companies, which received licenses after Jan 10, 2008.
