Major setback for Yeddyurappa; Karnataka HC rejects plea

Bangalore, Jan 31: It might prove as a major setback for the former Chief Minister of Karnataka - BS Yeddyurappa as Karnataka High Court on Tuesday, Jan 31 rejected his plea regarding two corruption cases.

Yeddyurappa, earlier had moved the High Court asking the court to quash the investigation against him by the Lokayukta. The Lokayukta of the state has been investigating the two cases against the former CM over illegal land denotification.

Yeddyurappa was summoned by court regarding the same case and when he failed to appear before the court, he was arrested and sent to jail.

After spending 25 days in Parappana Agrahara Central Jail in Bangalore, he was released on interim bail.
