Polls: Rahul Gandhi acts tough; slams Advani over corruption

Rahul Gandhi
New Delhi, Jan 27: AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, while addressing a public rally in Punjab slammed senior BJP leader LK Advani for BJP's anti-graft rally in Gidderbaha, Punjab.

He lashed out at the BJP leader for failing to keep a tab on corruption in BJP ruled states like Karnataka, Punjab and Chhattisgarh.

"Many new faces have come up in Punjab congress from the youth congress. I met all of them in Delhi, warned them, that if I find even a little bit about corruption against you, your career is finished," he said.

"LK Advani does yatras against corruption. Strange that he can not see corruption in BJP ruled states. He doesn't see corruption in Karnataka, Punjab, Chhattisgarh. In Parliament we wanted a strong Lokpal, as a constitutional body like the EC, but BJP, Akali pressed the red button, didn't let it pass," he added.

He also announced that he saw Captain Amarinder Singh as the "would be" Punjab's Chief Minister.
