DV Sadananada Gowda
Bangalore, Jan 27: Over the appointment of a new Lokayukta, Karnataka Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda on Thursday declared that the state government would not take any hasty decision in this regard.

"It is being discussed day in and day out. However, we are not going to take any decision in a hurry," Gowda said.

Karanataka Governor H R Bhardwaj passed a statement on Justice S R Bannurmath, whom the state government has recommended as the next Lokayukta. Refusing to comment on Governor's statement, Gowda said that "I don't want to comment and called his statement as cryptic reply."

When asked whether the state had anybody in mind as five judges were retiring from the Supreme Court, Gowda said that the matter could not be discussed in the public.

Moreover, Gowda left the Republic Day parade midway at Manekshaw Grounds, while the governor didn't attend the programme.
