26-yr-old Chelsea footballer stabbed to death

Cape Town, Jan 22: 26-year-old Jeffrey Ntuka, a footballer who played with English giants Chelsea and also with Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United player, has been stabbed to death on Saturday, Jan 21.

First a footballer site - Kickoff.com reported about Ntuka's death and later Ntuka's representative group Stella Africa confirmed the news after confirming with Ntuka's wife.

Stella Africa has been quoted as saying, "I just spoke to his wife for a couple of minutes and she confirmed that Ntuka has passed away after being stabbed in a township in Kroonstad."

The 26-year-old footballer died following a brawl that occurred in a nightclub Kroonstad in the Free State province which was Ntuka's hometown.

Islamabad, Jan 17: A journalist working for the Voice of America was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in northwest Pakistan, police said. Mukarram Khan Atif was attacked at a mosque near his home at Shabqadar town, 35 km from Peshawar, the capital of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.The banned outfit Tehrik-e-Taliban has claimed responsibility for the deadly attack.
