New Delhi, Jan 19: Indians can enjoy using Google and Facebook at least till Feb 2. The Delhi High Court is scheduled to pronounce its verdict on the websites whether to block them or not on the same day. The court on Thursday, Jan 19 adjourned the case in which Google and Facebook along with some other websites were summoned to attend the hearing.

The search engine giant and social networking site have been accused of not checking obscene and objectionable content being posted in their sites. Earlier they were being warned and later summoned by the High Court.

However, later Google India told the Delhi High Court that blocking them was not an option as democratic India does not have a "totalitarian" regime like China.

"The issue relates to a constitutional issue of freedom of speech and expression and suppressing it was not possible as the right to freedom of speech in democratic India separates us from a totalitarian regime like China," advocate N K Kaul, appearing for Google India told Justice Suresh Kait.

The Delhi court had summoned 21 social networking sites including Facebook, Microsoft, Google, Yahoo and Youtube for for allegedly webcasting objectionable contents.
