Bihar beat Odisha 5-3, win E Zone Sub-Jr Hockey

Patna, Dec 8: Bihar lifted the East Zone Sub-junior Hockey championship trouncing Odisha 5-3 here at the Dungdung Stadium in the Regimental Centre ground, Danapur Thursday 08, December.

The visitors took an early 2-0 lead within 12- minutes with Odisha skiper Sumit Toppo scoring both the goals. But Bihar soon recovered and restored parity. Bihar went on a scoring spree in the second half pumping 3 more. Odisha reduced the margin with another goal before the end. Anup Minz (2), Naveen Minz, Manoj Harenz and Manual Harenz contributed for the hosts.

State Governor approves Bihar Lokayukta bill, 2011

Bihar, Dec 3: The Bihar Lokayukta Bill, 2011 has been approved by the State Governor that will bring the Chief Minister and ministers under its ambit.

Devanand Konwar, Governor gave his approval for the bill on Friday, Dec 2, said Raj Bhawan sources.

The bill was approved by the state government on Nov 30 at a cabinet meeting presided by Chief Minister of the state, Nitish Kumar.

The take was, however, questioned by the opposition parties after the state government.....

Nitish govt approves Bihar Lokayukta bill, 2011

Patna, Dec 1: The Nitish Kumar government approved the Bihar Lokayukta Bill, 2011 to pave the way for tabling it in the winter session of the state legislature beginning tomorrow. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting presided over by the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Principal Secretary (Cabinet Coordination and Secretariat), Ravikant told reporters. The state government had last month drafted the bill bringing the chief minister among others under its purview and invited.....
