Washington, Nov 16: With the shootout near the White House revealing serious security lapses near the Oval Office, recent reports have emerged that suggest one of the stray bullets might have hit an exterior window of the White House. Any sort of damages were averted since the window was made of ballistic glass. The revelations were made by the US Secret Service.
After thorough recce of the area, the Secret Service found an additional round of ammunition in the exterior of the White House. The bullets were found on Tuesday.
The gunfire shots had created panic in the areas surrounding the White House last Friday. Following the news, the secret service found an AK-47 in an abandoned car in the vicinity. There were also reports of a car chase in the area prior to the gun fire.
The Secret Service is looking into the connection between the bullets found at the White House and the shootout on Friday. The US Park Police have also issued an arrest warrant against Oscar Ortega-Hernandez with regards to the shootout near the White House.
