New Delhi, Nov 14: The Supreme Court on Monday (today) will hear the former Team Anna member Swami Agnivesh's case. Agnivesh had termed annual pilgrimage as religious deception.
Earlier, the activist had sought the dismissal of the proceedings but the court was unwilling to do so.
However, Gopal Subramanium, the solicitor general argued that the statement was distorted and Agnivesh clarified it immediately. It was not to hurt the people's sentiments, he said.
Agnivesh pleaded that "the statement was made in the context of arrangements made for the pilgrims. The intention was certainly not to hurt."
