Hyderabad, Nov 8: Tollywood actor B Raghevendra was booked by the police over a case of brawl for allegedly beating up a man.
The actor who was in a restaurant saw a couple having an argument. Thinking that the man was harassing the woman, he beat him up only to find out later that he was her husband. The woman then called the cops and complained about the actor beating up her husband.
The actor was heavily under the influence of alcohol, said police.
"At around 11 pm, B. Raghavendra, an actor, who usually plays the villain"s sidekick in Tollywood films, was with his friends at a restaurant in Secunderabad and was in a highly intoxicated state. He noticed a couple having an argument and interfered in the fight, proceeding to beat the man, Mukulchand. While he was beating up Mukulchand, Sonia, Mukulchand"s wife, rushed to the washroom and called the police," said Gopalapuram police.
A case has been booked against the actor and he has been asked to report to the Gopalapuram police station.
