Google provides free websites to small and medium businesses

New Delhi, Nov 2: Google India on Wednesday (today) declared a free websites service to help small and medium businesses (SMBs) in India to go online.

The Google initiated the 'India Get Your Business Online' initiative offers a free dot in domain name and hosting for the first year along with a free custom email addresses and 365 days support. But after the first year, the users have to pay a nominal fee for domain and hosting renewal.

The intiative aims to help the samll business to go online. The websites has users friendly tools which will help SMBs to easy access to the apllications.

Mreanwhile, interesred businesses can log on to www.indiagetonline.in to start buildingt their own website. For which users will have to submit their PAN details for verification.

Google has signed a deal with HostGator, Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises and ICICI Bank for the India Get Your Business Online initiative.

London, Oct 23: World's popular Internet search giant, Google Inc. has discussed with at least two private equity firms about financial help for an acquisition of Yahoo Inc. core business. According to Wall Street Journal, Google and prospective partners have held early-stage discussions but haven't come with a formal proposal and Google may end up not pursuing a bid.
