Mumbai, Sept 10: Renowned Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan might get involved in legal tack after his maid, Ruby committed suicide by jumping off the actor's 14th storey flat. The maid was reportedly suffering from severe depression.
The 27-year-old maid, who hailed from Mathura, was a victim of domestic abuse at her in-law's place. Sagar, a distant relative, who happened to be a spot boy for one of the Kishan's projects, arranged for Ruby to work as a maid for the actor's family.
The actor had his flat at the Garden Estates building in Goregaon where the incident occurred. At the time of Ruby's fatal plunge; two other servants were present at the residence, along with Kishan's wife. Ruby allegedly locked the bathroom door from inside, and then jumped, oblivious to the other residents.
"We have sent the woman's body for post mortem. She locked the bathroom door so that others could not prevent her from committing the fatal act. Moreover, she had been suffering from severe depression. Both these factors indicate that she committed suicide," said police.
