Mayawati
Lucknow, Jul 13: The Mayawati government finally on Wednesday, Jul 13 ordered the probe by the investigating agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the deputy CMO, YS Sachan's death case.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati and others in her cabinet have so far claimed Sachan's death as "suicide" and not as "murder."

Tremendous pressure was created on Mayawati government by the opposition parties and other critics after Sachan's death. The pressure was intensified when Lucknow Chief Medical Officer (CMO), AK Shukla was arrested on Tuesday. Shukla is one of the accused in Sachan's murder.

Sachan was found dead in the unused toilet of the hospital where he was undergoing treatment. The postmortem report revealed six injury marks on the body of Sachan including on neck, elbow, thigh and wrist.

He (Sachan) was arrested on charges of murdering BP Singh, a CMO on Jun 17. BP Singh was murdered on Apr 2, 2011 over charging the irregularities in purchasing drugs and equipments under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).
