Mumbai Blasts: Home Ministry confirms terror links

Mumbai, Jul 13: Following the serial blasts in Mumbai, the Home Ministry announced Red Alert all over the nation. Home Ministry officials said that the nature of the attack shows it as an clear terrorist attack.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh spoke to Maharashtra Chief Minister and inquired the situations in the state. Top security officials and Home ministry officials met to discuss the situation.

According to sources explosions took place at Dadar, Zaveri Bazar and Opera House. Unconfirmed reports said that around 50 people were injured in three blasts. Around 25 people were injured at Zaveri Bazar, 20 people at Opera House and 3 people injured at Dadar. (more updates awaited)

Mumbai, Jul 13: Just two days after the fifth anniversary of 7/11 Mumbai terrorist attack, another serial blasts rocked the city of Mumbai on Wednesday, Jul 13 evening. Africans detained with diamond in private body parts

Mumbai, Jul 12: On Monday, Jul 11 the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence arrested two African nationals including a man and a woman at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport for trying to smuggle in diamonds worth Rs. 92 lakh in their private parts. A local court has remanded them to judicial custody for 14 days. According to DRI sources, officials received an anonymous information that two foreign nationals would be landing in the city on Friday evening, carrying with them bootlegged diamonds.Hence, acting strict according.....

Muridke (Pakistan), Dec.5 (ANI): A Pakistani terrorist group blamed for last week's attack on Mumbai that killed nearly 200 people and injured nearly 300, opened its gates to outsiders and reporters on Thursday in order to protest its innocence. The Telegraph quoted Abdullah Muntazir, a spokesman of the Jamaat-ud-Dawa, the political wing of the Lashkar-e-Toiba, as saying that he wanted to 'clear up some misconceptions' about the group's headquarters and activities, including the Indian Government's charge that it had masterminded the terrorist.....

First Indian record of supernova event found in Kashmir

Mumbai, July 12: Through a mural at the Mosque of Madani at Srinagar in Kashmir, Indian researchers claimed to have found the "first firm record" in the Indian subcontinent, of a supernova event that might have taken place centuries ago. Researchers from Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) and the University of Kashmir said that the mural, depicted on a door-arch of Mosque of Madani, shows the supernova as a dragon-head on the tail of constellation.....

Kaskar firing case: Close aide of Chhota Rajan arrested

Mumbai, July 12: An alleged active member of underworld don Chhota Rajan's gang was today (Jul 12) arrested in connection with firing outside the residence of fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim's brother Iqbal Kaskar in which the latter's bodyguard-cum-driver was killed, police said. With this, the total number of persons arrested in the case has gone up to seven.
