Mumbai Blasts: Home Ministry confirms terror links

Mumbai, Jul 13: Following the serial blasts in Mumbai, the Home Ministry announced Red Alert all over the nation. Home Ministry officials said that the nature of the attack shows it as an clear terrorist attack.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh spoke to Maharashtra Chief Minister and inquired the situations in the state. Top security officials and Home ministry officials met to discuss the situation.

According to sources explosions took place at Dadar, Zaveri Bazar and Opera House. Unconfirmed reports said that around 50 people were injured in three blasts. Around 25 people were injured at Zaveri Bazar, 20 people at Opera House and 3 people injured at Dadar. (more updates awaited)

First Indian record of supernova event found in Kashmir

Mumbai, July 12: Through a mural at the Mosque of Madani at Srinagar in Kashmir, Indian researchers claimed to have found the "first firm record" in the Indian subcontinent, of a supernova event that might have taken place centuries ago. Researchers from Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) and the University of Kashmir said that the mural, depicted on a door-arch of Mosque of Madani, shows the supernova as a dragon-head on the tail of constellation.....

Kaskar firing case: Close aide of Chhota Rajan arrested

Mumbai, July 12: An alleged active member of underworld don Chhota Rajan's gang was today (Jul 12) arrested in connection with firing outside the residence of fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim's brother Iqbal Kaskar in which the latter's bodyguard-cum-driver was killed, police said. With this, the total number of persons arrested in the case has gone up to seven. D K Rao, a close aide of Rajan was arrested in connection with the firing incident, after he was extensively questioned, a senior police officer said......

'India sought only 3 suspects, not 20'

Islamabad, Dec 5: Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani's Adviser on Interior Affairs, Rehman Malik, has that India has only sought 3 terrorist suspects and not 20 as has been reported by the media.He also said that the list submitted by the Indian Government does not include the name of Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, the head of the Lashkar-e-Toiba, which is being accused of masterminding last week's Mumbai terror attacks  that claimed nearly 200 lives and caused injuries to nearly.....
