Chennai: Prostitution racket busted in rave party

Chennai, Jul 8: After Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh, now it was turn for Chennai to witness the show on rave party, the new growing pass time for urban youths to spend their time and money.

Seven persons, including six Nepal citizens have been arrested near Sriperumbudur in Chennai on Wednesday, Jul 6. Surprisingly, women - mainly from north-east region of the country, especially from Nagaland and Assam. Polic suspected that the women were brought at the place in connection with some prostitution racket.

Police, after receiving information from some secret sources, raided a particular house in Sriperumbudur and caught youths. Some Koreans, who were detained but released shortly.

Police officials informed, "We found at least 20 scantily clad people dancing to loud music. Most of them were from north-eastern states and a few were from Korea."

Recently, rave parties in Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh have revealed many shocking images and sites of Indian youths. With the Mumbai rave party busting the clandestine relationship between the rich and the famous with that of drugs and alcohol, the trend is disturbing and the affinity of youngsters to attend such a party that reveals a crass show of moral degradation and money power is highlighted.

Prostitutes' rights: Legal red-light area to be created

Taipei/Taiwan, Apr 7: A recent decision by the Taiwan government may shock many as the government planned to moderate the sex industry in the country. The government planned to create a legal red-light district to control the sex-workers and to protect the rights of the Prostitutes.

The interior minister of the country, Liu Wen-shih stated, "The government intends to open up the sex industry to a moderate degree to better regulate it in accordance with the majority of public opinions."

HC directs police protection to woman in sex racket case

Kochi, Jul 6: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday, Jul 5 directed police protection to a woman, who alleged that nearly 300 girls from the state are trapped in Gulf countries and sexually exploited.A division bench comprising Chief Justice J Chelemeswar and Justice P R Ramachandra Menon also asked the investigating team to submit progress of the investigation within six weeks.The 30-year-old woman approached the high court complaining that police were not taking effective action on her complaint regarding alleged trafficking of women.....
