Itanagar, Jul 6: Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Takar Marde today (Jul 6) made it clear that the state government will not tolerate any lawlessness in the society and all guilty would be dealt firmly.
Marde, who rushed to Aalo in West Siang district today to take stock of the situation, took serious exception to the assault on the deputy commissioner by four miscreants on Monday, condemned the ugly incident saying the government will not tolerate such kind of activities to create an unconducive society to live in, an official communique informed.
Addressing an official meeting in the DC's conference hall, he said that the DC being the direct representative of the President of India should be given due respect as per protocol.
"The youth force should take up educational and socio-economic causes instead of resorting to disruptive activities," he said and called for an immediate solution through discussion.
IRBn and additional forces have been reinforced in the district to tackle any kind of incident and the SP has been given a clear directive to act tough against the accused in the case.
He said the inactive cops will not be spared and urged the head of departments to serve honestly to help the fruits of development percolate down to the masses.
Four youths manhandled the DC in presence of the SP and police personnel during a judicial hearing of a case involving the assaulters for their alleged role in the ransacking incident of a building in Aalo last May.
The assaulters were identified as Nyali Bagra, Gambin Loya, Jumkar Loi and Minto Ete, whose bails were reportedly rejected by the district court during the hearing. Meanwhile, condemnations poured in from various quarters in the incident.
