Chandigarh, Jul 4: What can be more horrifying news when a father becomes the killer of his own teenage girl for rejecting a 50-year-old husband. The shocking and pathetic incident occurred at Kasaan village in Kaithal in Haryana.

The 17-year-old girl was forcefully married to a person who was 33 years older than the deceased. Villagers informed that the girl was forced to marry a father-like aged person. The girl had refused to stay with her husband, sources said.

After the marriage, the teen refused to stay with her husband and citing threat from her own family, the victim reportedly moved the local police. The village panchayat intervened at that point and compelled the girl to return home, sources informed.

Soon after her return, as the sources added, the father of the young girl killed her. Police reached the crime site when the dead body was about to be cremated.

Police have registered a case of murder charging the father. The police sources said, "The body of the girl was lying in her house when we went to file the report. We came to know it was a murder case. We have registered a case and investigations are on. The mamaji has given a statement saying that she was married to man much older. She was not interested in the marriage. We are checking facts."
