Godhra haunts again, Congress calls Modi & Co a 'liar'

Narendra Modi
New Delhi, Jul 3: Congress never left any stone unturned to condemn Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for triggering post-Godhra communal riots that left over 1,200 people dead. Now continuing its attack on Modi, Congress called Gujarat state government a "liar."

Congress spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, "This is a classic slip done slop then again a slip by Gujarat Government which is doing somersault because it has much to hide. A very senior counsel on behalf of the state government said that records are destroyed in usual course."

"The state government does not disown the counsel or refute his stand. Now suddenly the state government says the records are not destroyed. Either they were lying then or they are lying now," added Singhvi.

Singhvi's criticism on Modi and his government came when reports were popped up that the state government has contradicted its senior counsel on destruction of records on 2002 communal riots.

The 2002 Gujarat violence was a retaliatory against Muslims(as they attacked the Sabarmati Express carrying mostly hindu passengers). In this entire violence, nearly 790 Muslims and 254 Hindus were killed and 223 more people were reported missing.

20% minority community was attacked in a retaliation by 80% community nationals. the ration of killing is also same. The politicians who are playing with 80% population's sentiments needs to understand that - such a retaliation by large public against them will not allow them to enjoy black money , corruption money , scam money , 2G money , CWG money or any un accounted money. Its just matter of time till 80% public retaliates ! Cheers !
