Navi Mumbai, Jun 29: After the Mumbai rave party grabbed media headlines, thereby exposing the sorry state of youth today who are addicted to drugs, close to 300 people were arrested by the Mumbai police. Among the victims is Sakshi Khanna, who is the son of old-time Bollywood star, Vinod Khanna. After rumours floated on his presence in the party, the Times of India in their expose has confirmed his presence in the party.

Speaking to the newspaper, Raigad superintendent of police, R D Shinde has been quoted as saying that Sakshi Khanna was part of the party at Mount View Resort in Khalapur. He also added that the party revellers were mainly from Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and even Pune.

The shocking incident had also revealed a fresh twist with the involvement of Anil Jadhav, police inspector at the Anti-Narcotics Cell. He was suspended after being accused for acting as a facilitator for conducting the party. He has been remanded in police custody till July 2.

With children of many high profile personalities attending the party, the arrests had evoked a lot of curiosity. The blood and urine samples of those arrested have been sent to the State forensic laboratory at Kalina, Mumbai to ascertain if the 300 people had consumed narcotic drugs. Shinde said, “It will take a few days for the medical reports of the revellers to arrive. This will enable us to know what kind of drugs or psychotropic substances were being used.''
