New Delhi, Jun 8: Now make your home a theatre! Forget the pirated prints of new Hindi movies available in DVDs or internet, here comes YouTube's theater right on your desktops.

The world's favourite video sharing website, YouTube has announced the launch of new channel dubbed as YouTube Box Office exclusively for Indian movies. The YouTube Box Office will feature a premium block buster movie every month but it will be embedded with advertisements.

The YouTube Box Office also has other popular Indian movies under different categories. Its library is updated with more than 1500 Indian movies, including regional titles.

The opening movie in YouTube Box Office was recently released Yash Raj Film's Band Baaja Baaraat, which is telecasted up to 1080p HD resolution. The new YouTube Indian channel also offers videos including making of the film, selected & deleted scenes, and quizzes and contests. "We wish to create a destination for users which is easily discoverable and also help our content partners get more viewers for their premium content. With over 48 hours of content being uploaded on YouTube every minute, this is our attempt to curate premium and exclusive content which our users enjoy," said Gautam Anand, Director Content Partnerships for YouTube Japan-APAC.
