Ramdev trying to gain 'cheap publicity': Gehlot

Jaipur, Jun 6: Rajasthan Chief minister Ashok Gehlot today accused Baba Ramdev of trying to gain cheap publicity by levelling "false" allegations against UPA chairperon Sonia Gandhi that the midninght police crackdown at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan was carried out at her behest.

"Ramdev's statement, that the incident happened in New Delhi at the behest of Sonia Gandhi and she will be responsible if anything happens to him, is aimed at gaining cheap publicity and shows vested interests," Gehlot said here.

"Opposition leaders often make false accusations against the UPA chairperson to grab public attention but she has nothing to do with these matters. She has always acted against corruption and also inspired congress-ruled states to work in this direction," Gehlot said.

Jamshedpur, Mar 8: After mesmerising millions of people across the globe with his television yoga, Baba Ramdev is all set to give his health tips to the denizens of the steel city from March 9 to 14. Organised by the East Singhbhum District Agrawal Sammelan, some 10,000 people are expected to undergo rigorous yoga schedules for about 150 minutes every morning on all six days at Gopal maidan from Sunday.
