Govt bends to Ramdev's demands, to bring back black money

New Delhi, Jun 4: The UPA government finally bent to the demands raised by Baba Ramdev. Telecom Communication minister Kapil Sibal on Saturday, Jun 4 claimed that the government will bring back black money from abroad.

Sibal clearly informed that the government has given written assurance to bring back black money and verbal agreement also been placed between the government and Baba.

Sibal expected that Baba would call off his fast soon as the yoga guru had agreed with the government. Sibal informed, "black money will be declared a national assets."

Meanwhile, people, who all have gathered at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan to show support to Baba, started celebrating as the government finally agreed to Baba's demands.

Among the demands made by Ramdev are an ordinance to repatriate black money from abroad, capital punishment for people convicted for corruption and speedy trials of persons accused of graft.

Kapil Sibal also said that a committee would be constituted on technical in Hindi education, another demand voiced by the yoga guru.

Prasant Bhusan unhappy with Sadhvi sharing dais with Ramdev

Youth attempts to immolate himself during Ramdev's agitation

Muzaffarpur, Jun 4: A youth today (June 4) made an abortive attempt to immolate himself during an agitation launched in support of yoga guru Ramdev's fast against corruption at the district collectorate in Bihar's Muzaffapur town. Devbrata, 22, had been on fast in support of Ramdev's demand but had to break it as he was hospitalised at a government hospital here by the authorities after his condition deteriorated on June 1, official sources said.
