"Raj Bhavan is like a prison and I am like a jail bird here," said Bhardwaj while expressing powerless state in his own territory. Despite the central government's rejection to Bhardwaj's proposal, the ruling party BJP continues their demand to recall of the governor.

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa and his followers in the party earlier accused the governor of making the Raj Bhawan a "political hub." Rubbishing all such allegations, Bhardwaj said, "I am not a politician or a thinker. I am a good advocate."

The "jail bird", however, also assured that Raj Bhawan will always welcome the "thinkers".

Meanwhile, Yeddyurappa, softening his stand on Bhardwaj, saying he would not utter a "single word" against him (governor) and would respect the gubernatorial post.
