Jailed Congress MLA's family attacked, no injury

Dhanbad (Jharkhand), May 25: Unidentified men hurled bombs at the car of jailed Congress MLA from Dhanbad Sadar seat, Mannan Mallick but none of his family members, inside the vehicle, got injured.

Police said Monday night's incident took place as Mallick's family was returning to their Housing Colony residence from a shopping mall on Hirak Road in Saraidhela area.

The congress MLA Mallick is in jail since April 28 in connection with anti-encroachment drive agitation. The the windshield of the muv got broken, the driver managed to speed away to safety. Security has been intensified at the MLA's residence.

'Centre to set up 15 MT power plant in J'khand'

Ranchi, Jul 21: Steel Minister Ramvilas Paswan today said the Centre was ready to set up a steel plant having a capacity of 15 million tonnes in Jharkhand if the state government ensures to provide two out of three billion tonnes of iron ore produced by Chiria mines. Talking to reporters at the Birsa Munda airport here, Mr Pawswan said the plant would be set up as per state government's choice as soon as the matter.....
