Hemant Soren gets bail in case of model code of conduct

Dumka (Jharkhand), May 20: A local court on Friday, May 20, granted bail to Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister Hemant Soren in connection with violation of model code of conduct during 2009 assembly elections in Dumka.

The court of Judicial Magistrate D K Mishra granted bail in two different pending cases of violation of code of conduct under town police station here during the assembly elections.

The JMM leader, who represents Dumka in the assembly, appeared in person. The court has fixed June 24 for the next hearing.

'Centre to set up 15 MT power plant in J'khand'

Ranchi, Jul 21: Steel Minister Ramvilas Paswan today said the Centre was ready to set up a steel plant having a capacity of 15 million tonnes in Jharkhand if the state government ensures to provide two out of three billion tonnes of iron ore produced by Chiria mines. Talking to reporters at the Birsa Munda airport here, Mr Pawswan said the plant would be set up as per state government's choice as soon as the matter.....
