Maharashtra Day observed in Nashik

Nashik, May 1: Maharashtra PWD minister Chhagan Bhujbal today (May 1) hoisted the national flag at the police parade ground on the occasion of 51th anniversary of formation of Maharashtra, and took a salute from home guards and police.

Divisional Commissioner Jayant Gaikwad, Collector P Velrau, top police officers, freedom fighters and local MLAs were present. Flag-hoisting ceremonies were held at government offices elsewhere in the district.

Mumbai, Dec 5: Ashok Chavan succeeds Vilasrao Deshmukh as the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra, the Congress announced on Friday, Dec 5 evening. “This is not the time to celebrate. Yup and feel proud to say that one of my best friend Mr. Kiran Kabadi working with Maharashtra Police was awarded DG'S INSIGNIA Award same day by honourable minister Shri Chagan Rao Bhujbalji. DG's Insignia is a medal given out by the DG to officers who have served for 15 years with a clean record. It is also conferred on officers for a commendable job.
